Serbia Map v2.0 + Review

This Serbia Map is a nice looking map and despite currently only having one route traveling north and south, there is plenty of variety along the way to keep you interested. In fact the scenery is quite distracting at times and I had to load a previous save more than once due to having accidents while looking around. I have not been to Serbia but I do know what to expect of the terrain and I’d say what’s on offer here definitely meets expectations. There’s wide city roads in and around the capital Belgrade (Beograd), then after heading south across the plains the roads turn very twisty indeed and soon it snakes it’s way through mountain ravines as you follow the path of the river.
An enjoyable drive which will take more than one sitting to complete. It’s not without a few problems mind you. I did find a couple of street lights in the road at one location, be sure to avoid those but more seriously the game crashed to desktop while trying to reach the Scania dealer at Novi Beograd. There were no problems at other dealers – all makes are present here by the way and there is another Scania dealer elsewhere. The AI seem to crash into each other at times but you could call that a real-time ‘feature’. Something what made me laugh was seeing a tractor coming towards me and the huge queue of traffic built up behind it. It was funny until I got stuck behind one myself. It would be nice to have more over-taking opportunities dotted along the twisty sections. I did not have a problem with slowing frame rates on any part of the map. I even tried it with Frosty mod and it worked fine for me.
There are roads that lead nowhere and you will hit an invisible wall if you stray from the road map but this tells me the author has ambition to fill out the map in a future update. More road network is needed with circular routes to make this map fully accomplished which will no doubt take a while judging by the standard already set here. For now, just enjoy the drive.

    • Did you talk from me ? 😀 i dont test it if you this think. if you look at last Screenshot, you see that new Profiele is needet, and to change from Europe to Serbia.

So the Map cant be merged, and a so small map like this, is for me only 1 eavening or lesser 😀 Not my thing 😀 but… hm, or shuld i try a look ^^ i dont know 😀

      • No, i didn’t mean to mention you in my post. “opa” is an expresion in Serbian.

Map is a beta version, i guess, and i guess there is a lot more work to be done. And there are some bugs and crashes in the game, but i hope that mod makers are going to continue to work on this project.
It is small map for now, there is only one road on it and one big city. There are a lot of cities and roads to be added, and i hope they will be soon 😀
I noticed that time passes much slower then it does when you drive in regular game.

  2. A great surprise!!!

Despite be/are a ‘beta”, is very good map. No Crash and has interesting and exclusives builds, roads… (never see on another maps). Have minus errors than some “finished” maps.

it is very good see a map with more real relief. On Vanilla map – default of SCS, the map is very, very flat. Where is the uphill and downhill in Vanilla?

it seens/looks short but is like Moldavia map: each km in map is very large.

I hope the authors increases, update to v1.19 and keep it up

  3. Are you guys still working on this? The map is great, but it lacks a good part of Serbia… Hope you will add Nis, Subotica, Pristina etc…
